Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

HI, it’S LAURA!
Originally from the sun-kissed Canary Islands, Spain, I arrived to New Zealand in 2011.
With a solid foundation in communication, including a Level 9 accreditation and a master’s degree in intercultural and interpersonal communication, I understand the power of connection deeply.
In 2015, the passing of my parents Miguel and Juana Mary marked a profound turning point. Hosting their funerals taught me the importance of honoring life amidst loss and inspired my commitment to uplifting others in their moments of joy and transition.
My journey has taken me across languages and cultures, working as an international hostess and interpreter aboard cruise ships. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and French. I used to speak German but bye bye. One memorable experience occurred when the captain fell ill, and I was asked to officiate an impromptu wedding for our Brazilian guests, despite not speaking Portuguese. It was in that moment that I realized my calling as a master of ceremonies, and my journey as a celebrant and a stand- up comedian began.
In essence, I’m here to infuse your special moments with authenticity, warmth, and a sprinkle of humor.
